Obituary - James Kegin

Son of Robert Allen and Clara Agnus (Herrian) Kegin.
He graduated from Covington High School, Covington, OK in 1958.He graduated from A.A. Central College in McPherson, KS in 1960; received his BA from Greenville College, Greenville, Ill in 1962; his Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary,Kansas City, MO in 1970; and his Doctorate of Ministery from Oral Roberts University in 1991.
Dr. Kegin was the founding pastor of Victory Fellowship Foursquare Church in Emporia in 1983 and served until his retirement in 2004. He was a pastor for 40 years, serving churches in East St. Louis, Illinois; Kansas City, Missouri, Capay, California; Pomona, Calif.;and Emporia, KS. In addition to pastor, he owned Arcadia Reading Clinic, served on the board of several organizations, and founder of Victory Christian Academy. He married Judith Arleen Mossbarger on November 27, 1964, in Denver, Colorado.
Survivors include his wife, Judy of the home; one daughter,Janice Michelle Stubbs and her husband, Michael, Emporia; one son, James Robert Kegin and his wife, Winona, Lawrence; two brothers, George Kegin, Covington, Okla. and Tom Kegin, Choctaw, Okla. and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, two grandchildren, a sister, and a brother.
Services will be at 11;00 AM, Monday, November 3, at the Victory Fellowship Foursquare Church in Emporia. Private interment at the Hartford Cemetary. Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, Lebo in charge of arrangements. Published in the Topeka Capitol Journal on 10/31/2008
