FLEENOR, Lakie E. - Age 89, of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, August 24, 2002 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Mr. Tod J. Sorensen will officiate with burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Lakie was born October 8, 1912 in Rye Cove, VA, the daughter of William A. and Sadie (Peters) Kern. She married Jesse F. Fleenor April 15, 1934. She is survived by 1 daughter and 2 sons: Doris K. Sorensen of Mt. Morris, Jerry L. and Marsha Fleenor of Gatlinburgh, Tenn., Michael T. and Valerie Fleenor of Kearns, Utah; 9 grandchildren, Frank H. and Beth Sorensen, Tod J. and Laura Sorensen, Lat D. and Gina Sorensen, Kevin M. Jennifer Fleenor, Erik A. Fleenor, Jason M. Fleenor, Sara A. and Rusell Hobbs, Angela E. Fleenor, Brian M. Fleenor; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 2 brothers, Dorothy Lawson, Baron Kerns and Ed Kerns, all of Tenn.; special friends, Gale E. Thick of Flint, Susan D. Raby of Mt. Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse and several brothers and sisters.
