Obituary - Mildred Nadine (Walls) Trotzke
Mildred N. Trotzke, 96, of Terre Haute died at 11:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005,
in Westridge Nursing Center.
She and her late husband, Paul, operated the former Trotzke Produce Market at Fourth and Walnut streets for 50 years, retiring in 1984. She was born Jan. 31, 1909, in Mountain View, Ark., to John Walls and Pheriba Andis Walls. Her husband, Paul E. Trotzke, died in 1991.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Marlene Trotzke; one sister, Gertrude Vanderbeck; two grandchildren, Philip “Michael” Trotzke and Julie Kristen McDonald; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Michael McDonald and Kaylee Rayne McDonald; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Vera Smith; and five brothers, Raymond, Leslie, Otto, Clarence and Willy Walls.
She was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday in DeBaun Idaho Street Chapel, with the Rev. Kim
Suits officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m.
until services Tuesday.
