Ossie Carrier - ELIZABETHTON
Mrs. Ossie Mae Carrier, 88, 2256 Siam Road, Elizabethton, went home peacefully to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2007, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Carrier was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Chassie White Rowe and was a native of Sullivan County.

She was a member of the Valley Forge Christian Church and a former co-owner of C. & O. Auction House. Mrs. Carrier was a member of #470 Order of the Eastern Star in Hampton where she was a past Worthy Matron and past Grand Representative. She was the Past President of the TOPS Club in Elizabethton and served as the past president of the Ladies Council of the Valley Forge Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carrier was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Cecil Carrier; two brothers, Holly Rowe, Paul Rowe; three sisters, Stella Carrier, Tressie Bolton and Ruby Jennings.

Mrs. Carrier is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Larry Amstutz of Orrville, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. C. Randall Carrier, Minister, and Sandy, of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Nathan and his wife, Tiffany Amstutz, of Smithville, OH; Renata Amstutz of Boulder, CO; Micah Paul Amstutz of Orrville, OH; Analyse Amstutz of Orrville, OH; two great grandchildren, Elijah and Cadence Amstutz of Smithville, OH and one on the way very soon; special friend Frieda Winters of Elizabethton whom was like a daughter to Ossie; and her many special friends at Pinecrest Christian Church where her son is the minister. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Carrier will be conducted on Monday, September 3, 2007 at 8:00 PM in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, in Elizabethton with Mr. H. Clay Bailey, Minister and Mr. Ken Caswell, Minister officiating.

The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 10:00 AM in Morningview Cemetery, Bluff City. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday prior to the service and at the home, 2256 Siam Road at other times.
