Ruthie Bagwell
Ruthie Bagwell, 61, of Anahuac, passed away at her home early Sunday morning. Visitation will be held from 5pm-9pm on Monday at Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Anahuac. Rev. John Black and Rev. Lynn Shoemaker will officiate.
Interment will follow at Anahuac Cemetery in Anahuac under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home.
Ruthie was born on October 1, 1942 to parents Lacy Wallace and Lois Chambliss Wallace. She was a lifetime resident of Anahuac and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She worked for Chambers County for 30 years until her retirement in January. In her younger years she loved to play softball. Ruthie was a loving and family oriented person who's favorite hobby in later life was her grandchildren.
Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lacy Wallace Jr. and sister Margarett Congleton. She is survived by her husband James Bagwell Sr. of Anahuac, sons James Bagwell Jr. and wife Marcia of Sandy, Utah, daughters, Cheryl Sanders and husband Kenneth of Anahuac, Theresa Greco and husband Pete of Deer Park, and Margaret Bennett and husband David of Houston, sisters Betty Copeland and husband Hart of Anahuac and Jean Holub of Anahuac and her grandchildren Reese Bagwell and wife Hannah, Christine Bagwell, Justin Sanders, Jessica Sanders, Will Davis, Megan Davis, Russell Greco, Angela Greco, Paul Greco, Kaitlyn Bennett, Maci Bennett and Ashley Bennett.
