Guy E. Gowdy dies in California
Guy E Gowdy, only son of Cordelia and Earl Gowdy was born March 2,1905 at Fairbury, Nebr, and passed away in his sleep from a heart affliction, at his home in Burbank, Calif, Thursday morning, May 19,1956 at the age of 50years, 2 months and 17 days.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 3:45 at the Filbach funeral home in Burbank with Rev. Trevor in charge. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery in Burbank.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Chloe Gowdy, three daughters and one son, Patsy Ruth Steel of Omaha, Neb, Helen Recchia, Neta dean Walker and Gene Gowdy all of Burbank. Three grandchildren, Gilbert Albert Recchia, age 6 years and Paula Gowdy; age 6 months also of Burbank and Pamela Ruth of Omaha, Nebr. Three sisters Leah Runyon of Almena, Ks ., Laura Easton of Siloam Springs, Ark, Naydene Bentley of Hill City, Ks and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, his parents proceeded him in death.
