Clinton Laws
Clinton R. Laws, Sr., 85, of Oaklawn St., Lenoir, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 22, 1918 in Wilkes County to the late Thomas Laws and Rose Marley Laws. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Beatrice Booher Laws, three brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.

He was retired supervisor with Hammary Furniture, served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Whitnel First Baptist Church.

Survivors include six sons, Clinton Roy Laws, Jr. of Charlotte, David Allen Laws, Bill Wayne Laws, Randy Dale Laws, all of Lenoir, Thomas Dean Laws of Maiden and Gary L. Laws of Morganton; three daughters, Sheila Bumgarner of Lenoir, Sylvia Crump of Morganton and Betty Roy of Orlando, Fla; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held today at 4 p.m. at Pendry's Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Williams and Rev. Daniel Buchanan officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends today at 3 until 4 p.m. at Pendry's Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
