Edna Fay Nelson, also know by many as "Mama Fay" passed away suddenly at her home in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 74. Edna Was born in Licking, Missouri on April 4, 1951 to the late Bill and Virgie (Snow) Richison.

After graduating from high school Miss Edna Nelson was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph Nelson in 1959, this union was blessed with three sons. Enda worked as a cook at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center for many years; she enjoyed camping, fishing, working outside in one of her beautiful flower gardens; she loved to make quilts for family and friends, and most recently figured out that she really loved to crochet; her passion was Cardinal Baseball, she was an AVID fan who never missed a game; her greatest joy was her family, she adored her family and spending time with them over a nice meal that she had prepared was something she looked forward to most in life. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be greatly missed.

Mama Fay is survived by sons, Jesse Nelson and wife Jeannie, of Belle, MO, and Cecil Nelson, of Rolla, MO; brothers, Bill Richison and wife Dorothy, of LA, and Gary Richison, of AR; sisters, Rose, of ID, and Emogene, of WA; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. In addition to her parents Edna was preceded in death by her husband Joe Nelson; son Joseph Roy Nelson; twin brother Ray Richison.

Funeral services for Edna Fay Nelson will be at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Velma Trout officiating. Interment will be in the St. James Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Chapel from 5-7PM.
