ARLINGTON - Elmer Harry Filley, a retired Arlington furniture repairman and refinisher, died Sunday at a Grand Prairie hospital. He was 84.
 
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Arlington Funeral Home. Burial will be in Powhattan Cemetery in Powhattan, Kansas.
 
Mr. Filley was born in Allen, Neb., and had lived in Arlington since 1954.He was a driver for Texas Auto Transport in Texas and Kansas until 1960 and was in the furniture repair and refinishing business for several years.
 
Mr. Filley was active with the Boy Scouts of America Longhorn Council for 25 years and was a member of Arlington Baptist Temple.
 
Survivors: Wife, Elizabeth Hobbs Filley of Arlington; four sons, Neal Filley of Dallas, Eldon Filley of Denver, Ernest Filley of Arlington and Warner Filley of Fort Worth; daughter, Elaine Grovia Watson of Jackson, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
