He was born November 25, 1932 in Martin County Indiana To: Marion and Amanda (Davis) Potts
He was married to his wife Mary Ruth (Mattingly) Potts on March 16, 1952 and she preceded him in death in Feb 2002.
Sam was retired from U.S. Gypsum, Shoals, In.
He is survived by: Three Sons: Greg and wife Dottie Potts of Loogootee, In
Charlie Potts of Sacramento, Ca
Joe Potts and Lynn Harshaw of Loogootee
Three Daughters: Rebecca and husband Darrell Monroe of Fairmount, In
Kathy Potts of Bloomington, In
Stephanie and husband Kevin Beasley of Bloomington, In
One Sister: Marcella Jean Bowman of Stanford, In
Along with 8 grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by:
His Parents: Marion and Amanda (Davis) Potts His Wife: Mary Ruth (Mattingly) Potts in 2002
Along with four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral Services
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Brocksmith – Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bramble, Indiana.
