Obituary - Frances (Lorenzen) Manley
	
	Frances W. Manley, daughter of Alfred and Mildred Brown Lorenzen, was born 
	August 17, 1906, at Hancock, Minn. She received her education and graduated 
	from Primghar High School in 1924. She then taught school in Center Township 
	in O'Brien County. 
	
	
	She was united in marriage to Thomas T. Manley on June 30, 1926, in 
	Primghar. They farmed two years south of Calumet and 47 years south of 
	Primghar, before moving to Primghar in 1976. 
	
	
	She was a devoted mother and enjoyed the activities of the Gaza School for 
	many years. She was a life long member of the Congregational and United 
	Church of Primghar and was a long time member of the Women's Fellowship of 
	the church. Frances was a Past Matron and a 50 year member of the Order of 
	Eastern Star, being actively involved for many years.
	
	
	She passed away on June 16, 1986, at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, 
	reaching the age of 79 years, nine months and 29 days. Left to cherish her 
	memory are two sons and one daughter, Donald and his wife Shirley of 
	Primghar, Dorothy Cooper and her husband, Lee of Primghar and Lee and his 
	wife, Leone of Hartley; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one 
	sister, Mrs. Elmer (June) Stangeland of Primghar and a host of other 
	relatives and friends. 
	
	
	She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom on Feb. 9, 1981; her parents, 
	daughter-in-law, Delores; two brothers, Frederick and Emil and one sister, 
	Lila.

	Services for Frances W. Manley were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 
	19,1986, at the United Church of Primghar, with Rev. Scott Hibben 
	officiating. 
	
	
	The pallbearers were Dennis Manley, Tom Manley, Jeff Manley, Terry Cooper, 
	Dan Cooper and Randy Cooper. 
	
	
	"Abide with Me" was sung by Evea Weseman and "How Great Thou Art" was sung 
	by the congregation with Mrs. Donna Struve at the organ. 
	
	
	The final resting place is Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Primghar, Iowa. The 
	arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.
