Francis L. Appleby
1947-2005
Francis L. Appleby, 58, St. Joseph, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at his
home.
Born June 6, 1947, in St. Joseph, he resided here for most of his life.
He was employed as a department manager for the Grocery Supply Co. and later
with Ray's Green Hills.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis L. Appleby Sr. and Olive G.
(Harrison) Appleby.
On July 26, 1968, he married the former Linda Pickard. She survives of the
home.
Additional survivors: his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Nicole Appleby
of Des Moines, Iowa, his granddaughters, Naomi and Olivia; his
mother-in-law, Lois Pickard of St. Joseph; and two brothers, Jim Appleby of
California and Jeff Appleby of Arizona.
The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the
Evergreen Cemetery, Osborn, Mo. The service is under the direction of
Meierhoffer Funeral Home and Crematory, St. Joseph, where the family will
receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. St. Joseph News-Press (MO) -
