Obituary - Gayle (Kegin) Hoenig

On September 19, 2009 Gayle passed away in the Aspen Living Center from complications after suffering a stroke. Gayle was born in Colorado Springs on January 15, 1941.
After retiring from Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies, she dedicated herself to the preservation and protection of wildlife. For the past 25 years, Gayle was licensed by the federal government and by the State of Colorado as a wildlife rehabilitator and was recognized and respected worldwide as a spokesman for the humane treatment of wildlife.
Gayle was preceded in death by her father, Fred "Chick" Kegin (born in Burlington Junction, Missouri). She is survived by her mother Rosemary Kegin of Peyton, her daughter Randie and two grandchildren Ross and Ryan (Phoenix, Arizona), her sister Donna Krack of Peyton and by her nephew Jace Braun and his daughter Bailey of Battlement Mesa, Colorado.
