Helen (Parker) Hazel of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on June 18, 1921, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Claude E. and Nellie (Blake) Parker. She married Richard J. Hazel on December 20, 1942, and he died May 2, 1994.

Surviving are one son, Daniel Hazel of Bloomington, IN; two sisters, Doris Martin of Oolitic, IN, and Lucille Lake of Fayetteville, IN; two granddaughters, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers: Cecil, Claude, and Kenneth Parker.

She worked at RCA for thirteen years and at Burris School in Mitchell.

There will be graveside services for Helen Hazel at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3rd, at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, IN.
