NESS CITY - Henry Lawrence Whipple, 66, died May 3, 1992, at the Central Kansas Regional Medical Center, Great Bend.

He was born March 12, 1926, at Beeler, the son of James and Winifred Burks Whipple. A Ness City resident since 1989, moving from Hodgeman County, he was a grain elevator manager. He was a member to the First Baptist Church, Ness City.

On March 12, 1944, he married Lorraine Sinclair. She died July 15, 1986. On April 18, 1987, he married Letty Huff. She survives. Other survivors include: father, Jetmore; a son, Milton, Cottage Grove, Minn.; two daughters, Sharon Winklepleck, Cullison, and Charlyn "Lyn" Lewis, Leoti; a stepson, Gary Huff, Nixa, Mo; two stepdaughters, Nancy VanDegrift, Hanston, and Janet Ives, Larned; two brothers, Jim, Jetmore, and Dave, Offerle; two sisters, Roberta Winget, Hanston, and Alberta Regier, Russell; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Ness City, with the Revs. Gary Winget and Russell King presiding.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City. Burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery, Jetmore.
