OCALA -- James Howard Bovard, 67, retired from Eli Lilly & Co., died March 28, 1992, at home.
A native of New Marion, Ind., he came here in 1983 from Indianapolis.
Mr. Bovard attended Fort King Presbyterian Church and was a U.S. Marine Corps World War II veteran. He was a member of Southport Lodge No. 270, F&AM, Southport, Ind.; Murat Shrine Temple, Indianapolis; Scottish Rite Bodies; Silver Springs Moose Lodge No. 1099; Leesburg and Ocala Dance Clubs.
Survivors include his wife, Frieda Mae Bovard, Ocala; a daughter, Terri Spurgeon, Indianapolis; a son, Ted Bovard, Indianapolis; sisters, Kathryn Clarkson, Beech Grove, Ind., and Anna Ruth Garrity, Indianapolis; brothers, Alfred E. Bovard, Atlanta, and George E. Bovard, Indianapolis; and five grandchildren.
Hiers Funeral Home, Ocala, is handling arrangements.
