ADDINGTON, JAMES THOMAS - age 41, died suddenly on May 10, 2014

He was a graduate of Powell High School, University of Tennessee, and Mercer University, where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He enjoyed his work at Seymour Pharmacy. Jim was a loving husband, father, son and brother, uncle and coach, as well as an avid golfer. He was a lifelong member of Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church and also attended Fountain City United Methodist Church.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. Addington; twin son and daughter, Anna James and John Thomas Addington; and grandparents, Earl and Mary Whedbee, Wilford and Kyla Addington.

He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend, Laura Brown Addington; son, Alden Brown Addington, who viewed his dad as his hero; daughter, Mary Chandler Addington, who brought him great joy; mother, Rebecca Whedbee Addington; sister, Jennifer Addington Dunsmore (Todd); father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Susan Brown; brother-in-law, David Radocesky (Kristi); sister-in-law, Melanie Radocesky; uncle and aunt, Jim and Judy Whedbee; nephews, Jacob and Luke Dunsmore; nieces, Megan Dunsmore, Kendall and Reagan Radocesky; and a host of extended family and friends whom he loved very much.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15th between 4:30-6:45 p.m. at Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church, 1620 North Central. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. The Rev. James Bailes, The Rev. Daniel Ogle, Mr. Steve Diggs, and The Rev. Robert Bean are officiating. Interment will be a private family service at Lynnhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Emerald Youth Foundation, 1718 N. Central Street or Fountain City United Methodist, 212 Hotel Road.
