 Hobart, Joe B, Jr. Friday, January 13, 2012 Joe Bush Hobart, Jr, age 81 of Chester, passed away January 13, 2012. He was born July 25, 1930 in Greenville, Mississippi. Joe graduated from Georgia Tech in 1954 and served as 2nd Lt. in the US Army Engineer Corps.

He worked as a mechanical engineer in the States as well as abroad, later retiring in 1995 from International Paper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe, Sr. and Jessie Smith Hobart; his first wife, Margie Hobart; brother, Jack Hobart; and sister, Mary Louise Hobart.

He is survived by his wife, Doris B. Harrison-Hobart; son, Glenn Hobart (Paige); daughters, Linda Harris, Helen Thomas (Charles); son, Philip Hobart (Kim); sister, Dot H. Davis (Bob); 8 grandchildren; 3 step-children; 7 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 16th at 1:00 pm in the Chester chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
