John Roeder, 71 father of Robert Roeder of Norton, and for 49 yrs a well
known neighbor of the Baker neighbor, south of Almena,died early monday am
at his home 6 miles south of almena.Funeral services were held this am
at the Baker Church south of Almena. Burial was in the Almena Cemetery.
Mr Roeder was born in Wisc. and married here to Miss Cornelia Schmidt in
1895. In addition to his wife he leaves 4 daughters and three sons, the two
sons in addition to Robert are Walter of Almena, Ervin of Densmore, the
daughters are Mrs Earl Wynne of Almena and Mrs Orin Davis of Prarie View,
Mrs Claude Bundy of Beaver City, Ks, and Mrs Eick Bush Cheyenne, Wyo.
