Obituary - Joseph Randall Hobbs

Joseph Randall Hobbs, Sr., age 81 of Bristol, VA passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 5, 1933 to the late Luba Carlyle Hobbs, Sr. and Angeleen Pesto Hobbs.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, John Steven Hobbs, one granddaughter, Marlena Hobbs, and two brothers, Mack Hobbs and Stanley Hobbs.

He worked at Flavor Rich for over 30 years and was a lifelong Farmer in Washington County, Virginia. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his wife Minnie D. Hobbs of Abingdon, VA; three daughters, Ada Louise Cox and husband Gilbert of Bristol, VA, Jan Fogle and husband Duane of Lexington, S.C., and Treva Rutherford and husband Gerald of Bristol, VA; three sons, Mark Pesto Hobbs and wife Freda of Abingdon, VA, Edwards Carlyle Hobbs and wife Denise of Bristol, VA; and Joseph Randall Hobbs Jr. of Abingdon, VA; four sisters, June Butler of FL, Wava Collins of Bristol, VA, Christine Williams of FL, and Theresa Hobbs of FL; two brothers L.C. Hobbs Jr. and Tony Hobbs. Also left to cherish his memories are ten grandchildren, Teresa Cox Carter, Trey Hobbs, Derek Fogle, Lyncoln McCarty, Amanda Helton, John Hobbs, Luke Hobbs, Matthew Hobbs, and Samantha Rosenbaum.

Funeral Services for Mr. Hobbs will be at 12 P.M. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jerry Arnold and Brother P.T. Glover officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M until time of the service at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the funeral service at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Hobbs, Luke Hobbs, John Hobbs, Derek Fogle, Jeremy McCarthy and Todd Rosenbaum.
