Joyce B. Herndon, 83, born in Washington, Indiana, November 5, 1927, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 02, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House. Joyce was a member of the Eastern Star and well known for sharing her musical talents within the church. She was a member of the Viera Christian Church in Viera, Florida.

She is survived by her son Rick (wife Frances) Herndon; daughter-in-law, Judy Herndon, grandchildren Cristina Morgan (husband Patrick), Bartlesville, OK; Jeff Herndon (wife Debbie), Heather Herndon (Daniel Mortimer), and Jennifer Brooks, all of Sebastian, FL, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mable and Clarence Hall, husband, William C. Herndon, Sr. and son William C. Herndon, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at the family home in Sebastian, Florida on Thursday, August 11, at 2 p.m. A graveside service will be performed at 11 a.m., Monday, August 15th, 2011 at the Walnut Hill Cemetary in Odon, Indiana. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Hospice House of Indian River County Florida.
