PORTSMOUTH - Lewis Preston Turner Sr., 84, went to be with the Lord, Jan. 18, 2008. He was a native of Norfolk and was a World War II
veteran. He retired from NAS Public Works Center as a general foreman, was a member of Norview Masonic Lodge 113, Norfolk Scottish Rite, Chesapeake Shrine Club, and an honorary member of Khedive Temple Director’s Staff.

Mr. Turner was the son of the late James S. and Lillian B. Turner. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay B. Turner; three children, Lewis P. Turner Jr., J. Michelle Turner, Tracy T. Fasciocco and her husband Angelo; three grandchildren, Krista Fasciocco and Jordan and Jake Turner. He is also survived by sister, Dorothy Winslow and her husband Bill and sisters-in-law, Janet and Sylvia Turner as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Lewis’ life will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow the service with military honors accorded Mr. Turner.
