Helen Marie Brewer MARIETTA, Ohio Helen Marie Brewer 81, passed away March 8, 2011.

She was born May 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Thomas Hutchins. She was a long time K-Mart employee.

She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Brewer of Marietta, Peggy J. Palmer and husband Ralph of Lakeland, Fla., and Mary "Snookie" Perkins of Bluff City, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Beth Yahr and Michael Perkins of Knoxville, Tony Perkins of Bristol Tennessee, Jason Perkins of Bluff City, Tenn., also Shawn Brown of Marietta and Paige Brown Waddell of Williamstown, W.Va.; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Thompson and husband Samuel and Peggy Ellem and husband Charles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Brewer; son, Wayne Allen Brewer; sisters, Ethel Burnette and Billie Jo Fleenor; and brother, James Hutchins.

Cremation will take place at Hadley Funeral Home and no memorial services are planned at Marie's request. Donations in her memory can be made to Strecker Cancer Center, 400 Matthew St., Marietta, OH 45750. A special thank you goes out to the staff of MMH who helped in our time of sorrow.
