Obituary - Charles "Gene" Engleking
CHARLES "GENE" ENGLEKING
	Charles "Gene" Engleking was born October 21, 1931, and died in his home on 
	February 1, 2008. Gene was born in Bartles-ville, OK to Nellie Grace and Roy 
	Enos Engleking. The youngest of six children, Carol Myers, Clara Cook, 
	Virginia Stilley, Ray Engleking and Albert Engleking.
	Gene attended school in Bartlesville, OK and received his GED in Oklahoma 
	City, OK. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1954, and spent four 
	years overseas. Gene grew up in the grocery and discount business in 
	Bartlesville and later moved to Enid where he owned and operated a cafe and 
	donut shops. He retired in 1988 from his own security company when he moved 
	to Oklahoma City.
Gene married Sarah Ruth Cox in 1961, which he considered to be the best choice in his life. He was the proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather of son, John Roy Engleking, married to Renee of Tulsa, and their two children, Rachael and Michael, married to Lorie and grandson Michael Jr.; son Everett Kim Engleking, married to Peggy and their children, Nathan, Jess, Jon and Anna Grace, of Columbia, MO; daughter, Gena Smith, married to Danny, of Enid; Gena?s daughter Sarah Ramey; Danny?s children, Daniel and LaDonna, married to Troy Crabb; daughter, Lonya Engleking and her children Stephen and Jasamine, of Oklahoma City.
Gene was a fill-in father and grandfather for many individuals that he 
	loved as his own including, J. J. West, Bob Sedain, Mark and Terri Philgreen 
	and their children, Jessica and Robbie Lynn Sedain, Stacie Hinkle and her 
	children Myesha, Mysyan, and Kyra.
	Gene was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister; his 
	son, Kim; and granddaughter, Sarah.
	Donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
	Visitation will be from 1:30 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2008, and from 
	9 to 10 a.m. on Monday February 4, 2008. Graveside services will be 11:30 
	a.m. Monday, February 4, 2008, in Smith Cemetery, Moore, OK. Services are 
	under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, 
	OK.
