Obituary - Shirley Ann (Rockey) Poole

	Shirley Ann "Duck" Poole, 69, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away at 7:10 
	p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at her residence.
	Mrs. Poole was born on February 25, 1940 in Johnson County, Indiana the 
	daughter of John and Minnie Pearl Hines Rockey. She married John Poole on 
	June 1, 1968 in Vernon, Indiana. He survives.
	Mrs. Poole worked for the former Excello Shirt Factory in Seymour, Indiana, 
	and did babysitting. She attended Tea Creek Baptist Church in Lovett, 
	Indiana. Her hobbies included playing cards, going to yard sales, riding 
	motorcycles and her grandchildren.
	Surviving with her husband are, one daughter, Cathy Gillis of North Vernon, 
	Indiana; two brothers, Dick (Edna) Rockey of North Vernon, Indiana and Joe 
	(Donna) Rockey of Englewood, Ohio; five sisters, Ruth Marksberry, Deloris 
	"Billy" Dickson, Marilyn "Wig" Brown, Wilma (Bill) "Willie" Grider and Edna 
	(Raymond) "Doodle" Ernestes all of North Vernon, Indiana; two grandson, John 
	and Jake Gillis of North Vernon, Indiana.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John Rockey and 
	Robert "Bob" Rockey.
	Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 
	2009 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Anderson 
	officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home on 
	Thursday, December 9, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in 
	the Vernon Cemetery.
	Memorials may be made through the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home to 
	Hospice of Jennings County.
