Obituary - William Alfred Brafford

OOLITIC William Alfred Brafford, 96, Oolitic, died at 3:40 p.m. Thursday at
Dunn Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born in Gray, Ky., he was the son of James and Anne Elizabeth (Foley)
Brafford. He married Etta Blake on June 10, 1923, and she died Sept. 25,
1989.
He was a machine runner for Indiana Limestone in Bedford, a member of
International Laborers Union Local 741 and was of Pentecostal faith.
Surviving are two daughters: Mary Oliver of Oolitic and Donna Terry of
Corpus Christi, Texas; two sons: Ward Brafford of Bedford and Delmar
Brafford of Oolitic; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and one
great-grandson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Day & Carter Mortuary, Bedford, with the
Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory
Gardens.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and noon until service time Sunday
at the mortuary.
