	Almena Pioneer dies, funeral to be wednesday
	Funeral services for William Luther, 85 who died sunday afternoon at 5pm at 
	the home of his son, Alfred Luther In Almena, will be held wednesday 
	afternoon at two oclock from the ME church in Almena.
	Tracy Archer will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Almena 
	cemetery. The courney funeral directors will be in charge.
	Mr Luther was born  Jan11,1864 in Germany. He came to America in 1882 
	andsettled in Milwaukee, Wisc. He was married there to Mary Wollin. They 
	came to Norton county in 1893 and settled on a farm 8 miles south of Almena, 
	which was their home until the death of Mrs Luther, Jan 25,1929. After the 
	death  of his wife he made his home with his children.
	 
	He is survived by three sons, Alfred Luther of Almena, Edward Luther of 
	Densmore and Carl Luther of Eagle Point, Ore. Three daughters, Mrs Edna 
	bundy of Beaver City, Neb; Mrs Esther  Graham of KC,KS; and Mrs Amelia 
	Schmidt of Fleming, Colo. One daughter, Agnes died in Infancy.
