Obituary - Wilma Faye (Bott) Andis
Wilma Faye Bott Andis, 69, of Abingdon, went to be with the Lord Monday,
December 16, 2013, at Johnston Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and
close friends after an extended illness.
She was born May 30, 1944, in Washington County, Virginia, a daughter of the
late Ed Bott and Louella (Doll) Nash Bott. She lived her entire life in the
Abingdon area and was a graduate of Greendale High School. She was a hair
dresser for many years and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Mark
Andis; a brother, Ralph Bott; and a sister, Irene Bott.
Survivors include two sons, Blake Andis and wife Kim of Abingdon and Wade
Andis of Abingdon; two brothers, William (Dub) Bott and wife Garnett of
Bristol, Virginia, and Gilbert Bott of New Hampshire; one sister, Virginia
Bott Simcox of Bristol, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Dylan Andis and Kori
Andis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at 8:00 P.M. in
the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers and Rev. Kenneth
Widner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from
6:00 P.M. until time of the funeral service. Committal services and
interment will be Thursday, December 19, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Hills
Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and honorary
pallbearers. Those attending the committal service are asked to meet at the
cemetery by 10:50 A.M.
