Your communication of May 1st is received; in
answer I am under the painful necessity of informing you that your
son Pleasant Bowman died at W.S. General Hospital No. 3 January 16,
1863.
By addressing L.S. Horton A.A. Surgeon in charge
and enclosing a receipt, he will forward by express whatever
clothing or other things that belonged to him.
