Miscellaneous Information

1) Jacob and Nackey's marriage record.

2) Nackey's husband, Jacob Wilson, worked his family's farm for a brief time after the death of his father, William.  Nackey and Jacob moved to Carmi, White, IL some time before August 1896.

3) We have a copy of Nackey's obituary.  Cause of death: asthma and "heart troubles"

4) Father of Nackey Ann Manley: David O Manley - born 09 Nov 1831 Preston, Lancashire, England; died Dec 1905 Newberry, Greene, IN; obituary; buried Maple Ridge Cemetery, Carmi, White, IL - tombstone photo; David married (1) to Elizabeth Ann Osborn (see item #4 below) on 29 Oct 1854; David married (2) Theodosia ____; son of William Manley and Ellen Sharples; emigrated from England to the United States in 1848 with his father, mother and siblings. Six weeks later, they arrived at the port of New Orleans, Louisiana (09 September 1848).  They took a horse and wagon to Greene County, IN, where David farmed around the town of Scotland; Civil War (Union) 38th IN Infantry, Co. K - from Nov 1864-Jun 1865; chaplain of the GAR post (this is the Grand Army of the Republic - sons of Union veterans of the Civil War); in 1867, David was ordained as a Baptist minister, and he preached until his death; Manley/Osborn family biography; see family photo below.  

5) Mother of Nackey Ann Manley: Elizabeth Ann Osborn - born 28 Sep 1826 KY; died 19 Dec 1896; buried Maple Ridge Cemetery, Carmi, White, IL - tombstone photo; Elizabeth married (1) to John Hugh Dillon - 3 children with John (see Elizabeth and John listed here also); married (2) to David O Manley (see item #3 above); daughter of Solomon Osborn and Rebecca Feltner; Manley/Osborn family biography; see family photo below.
