1) Jacob's father (William H) mentions Jacob in his
will and in a
deposition. 2) Jacob and Nackey's
marriage
record. 3) Jacob's deposition was taken when his mother, Julia Ann,
was attempting to acquire pension money after the death of her son, Pleasant
H, in the Civil War.

farm for a brief time after the death of his father, William. He and
his wife, Nackey, moved to Carmi, White, IL some time before August 1896.
5) Jacob is mentioned when his father's land was
partitioned
out to various family members. 6) In the 1920 and 1930 Federal census,
Jacob Bowman was listed as a taxi driver. When asked about this, his
grandson, Chares W Reedy said: "I used to go with my grandfather in
the Model A (he had it enclosed) to pick up people at the train."
