Miscellaneous Information

1) * At the time of the 1860 Federal census, Rhoda Duncan states that she is married, but there is no sign of John anywhere. Our concern is that John is possibly (probably?) dead by this time, so we believe that this is possibly not John's son. We would like information that would help to either confirm or deny this theory.

2) We have a copy of the marriage records of William and Sarah.

3) We have a Martin family biography that mentions Sarah Martin's parents, Silas D Martin and Elizabeth Burk.

4) Wife (2) of William E "Richard" Andis: Susan J Bledsoe - born c. 1871 VA; daughter of Abraham Bledsoe and Lydia ____ .

5) We have a copy of William's will.

6) We have William's death certificate; cause of death: tuberculosis of lungs. Note: birth place is listed as Lee Co, VA on death certificate, but earlier census records state Claiborne, TN.
