1) Wife of William S Andis: Caroline Elizabeth Miles - born c. 1835 Lee Co, VA; died (___); daughter of David Miles* (1814 VA-likely 1880-1900) and Eliza W ____ (1818 VA-likely 1880-1900). * David is a brother of John Miles found here in the miscellaneous area.

2) William Andis served in the Civil War. He enlisted as a private, and was in Co. I of the 64th Regiment of the Mtd. Infantry, fighting for the Confederacy.  He was paroled 28 Apr 1865 at Cumberland Gap, TN.  He received distinguished service status; military papers.
